I’m writing this post on the plane on the way to Orlando. To Marel and her brother, running as characters from Wreck it Ralph, to the unnamed woman who sat across the isle who teaches school and has knee trouble but has her KT tape on and is ready, to the woman behind me running her first half, and to the sweet non-runners who have had to put up with us talking, great meeting you all.
As of right now the forecast is calling for pouring rain while we run. I’m determined to not care. I’ve packed a throw away poncho to wear while we wait, my thin rain jacket and a hat. My Tough Girl TuTu and I are not made of sugar and we will be fine! http://www.toughgirltutus.com
It’s honestly been a tough week and I’m working hard to muster my mental toughness. Leaving my job of 10 years has already been harder than I ever could have imagined and my last day was yesterday. I am sad/scared/excited/joyful and sometimes all within a 3 minute span of time. I am, in fact, a mess.
But I believe Disney is up to the challenge and am trusting God’s timing!!
My time goal is “this is a training run” so I should be finishing in the 2:30ish world, but with the rain who knows. Just going to be happy I’m here and take things one step at a time.
Tonight, it’s Mickeys Very Merry Christmas party with my sweet husband so I’m going to lean into the moment. I can’t wait to get there and see my friends and spend time with my sweet husband. I will try and do another live post tomorrow but I’m blogging from my ipad so have typo grace;).

I’m so excited for you Jen! Tonight’s MVMCP should be awesome. Good luck in the half tomorrow. I’ll put in a plea to Mother Nature that the rain holds off at least during the race. Can’t wait to hear all about it!!!

LOL I understand! I was at the finish line and I slept for 10 hours yesterday and I was still exhausted!!
