It’s finally Friday. I don’t mind telling you that this week has been a kick in the tail feathers. Between a very busy travel schedule for my internationally jet-setting husband (insert eye roll here), attending college orientation for my oldest child (more on that in a minute), getting the twins ready for beach camp, caring for my mom-in-law as she struggles with some health issues, and then, oh yeah, managing my day job and trying to keep this house from looking like a Hoarder’s episode it’s been A WEEK. But, it’s my day off, so I’m hoping to get completely caught up on laundry, get my car into the dealer to fix my rear view mirror (don’t ask), help my oldest son organize his room and get this house back to normal. Wait, that may be a bit ambitious. Maybe I’ll just blog, read, and take a nap.
So, I wanted to post a few Run Disney Princess Half Marathon Weekend posts written by me and some friends. I’ll never forget when I signed up for my very first Princess Weekend 4 years ago. I was a Princess Half blog junkie and would read pretty much anything anyone would write on the subject. So if that’s you here are some fun posts by some fun people!

You can also go to my Run Disney page to read all my recaps. If you’re thinking of signing up, or if you have already through early registration, I wish you the best in your training but (and this is more important) mostly I’m hoping you can figure out what you’re going to wear;).
So switching gears, a few weeks back I was asked by my friends over at Heart Stories to share a story of someone in my life who had helped me tune out the noise. I chose to write about my former work best friend, Julie, and honestly, I really enjoyed writing it and remembering how important my tribe is. If you’d like to read it, head here. They even made this instagram photo from a quote from the article. Um, wow. OK. Nobody ever did THAT for me before.
As the good little narcissist that I am, I of course found my name this large on social media to be quite gratifying;). And good gravy that’s huge, but I’m too exhausted to figure out how to make it smaller so let’s all just pretend it’s not bleeding over into the side bar, OK?
So yeah, and the college orientation thing? I’m not sure why it’s just hitting me now instead of when it was supposed to, a few months back when he graduated, but my baby is going to college!! As we were sitting and listening to all of the information (and I mean ALL OF THE INFORMATION. ABOUT EVERYTHING. EVER.) I kept thinking (because I had alot of time to think because they were talking A LOT) about how proud I am of who he is. I don’t talk about him a lot in the blog because he has asked me not to, so I will respect that, but I will tell you that this man that has grown up in my home is funny, ridiculously smart, kind, gentle and honestly a world changer. I cannot wait to see what he does and how his life unfolds. There’s just nothing but good there.
OK, I’ll end with that. Although I’d love to nap, I truly do have to get this car to the dealer. May your week be filled with joy, your runs feel easy and cool, and may you never forget the God who made you.
Happy Running.
Happy Running!!
