ETA This giveaway is over! But thanks for playing, Everyone, and big congrats to Tisha G.! Hope you enjoy all your goodies!
Well, it’s nearly impossible for me to believe, but on Sunday, the blog is turning 2. I cannot express what it’s meant to me that so many of you have read and encouraged me to continue writing. The fact that so many seem to identify and are encouraged to take better care of themselves is a huge bonus. So thank you.
My favorite moments have been when one of you messages me on FB or sends me an email and tells me about your story. Yvonne, Deanna, Pete and may others have shared your experiences with me and it’s been a pure privilege to be a small part of your story.
I know you don’t want to listen to me drone on and on (GET ON WITH THE DEETS OF THE GIVEAWAY, CRAZY LADY!;) but truly this little piece of real estate I occupy on the worldwide web has meant more to me than I can express. So thank you for reading and please continue to do so!
So here’s what we’re giving away:
- An amazing, custom made bag by my friend, Brandy, at M3 Quilts. Brandy made this especially for this giveaway and it truly is one of a kind. Since this is the first one of it’s kind, she hasn’t settled on a price yet so if you don’t win and want her to make you one contact her about this or any other custom piece (Disney or otherwise) you might have in mind. The bag is gorgeous and has a built-in laptop area (it fit my Macbook perfectly) as well as multiple pockets to keep you organized as you travel to your destination race! Also included is the Mickey key ring which I am completely in love with (yes, you people are very lucky I’m letting this go!!) What Brandy won’t tell you is that she’s a single mom and this is a side business that helps her stay afloat. So buy from her and you’re supporting a strong woman who’s making a great life for herself and her young son. Seems better and more joyful than getting something boring from your local big box store, yes??
From Brandy: My name is Brandy and my company is M3 Quilts and Design. While quilting is my first passion, I am quickly finding joy in making bags and purses of all different shapes and sizes. All of my work is done by me in my pet-free, smoke-free, kid friendly home, and I utilize the highest quality material for all of my sewing. I love working with people to create custom, one of a kind items that allows them to express themselves! My complete bio is on my website: m3quilts.com!
- Spirit of the Marathon II. I saw this in the theaters and thoroughly enjoyed it! I have yet to watch it on DVD but have this one to share with one of you. Great film. The first one is available to view for free on hulu but this one you can only rent or buy.
- A sized medium black FlipBelt. I wrote a glowing review (of my own accord after I purchased my first one) and they graciously offered me this one to giveaway to one of you. It’s a great company and a great product! Here’s my review that contains the link to their website. If you win and the size doesn’t fit, they will exchange it for you (shipping may apply).
This is truly a great gift package and honestly, every item here I want for me!! I’ll tell you how you enter in just a minute, but first, I want to list for you my favorite posts from the last 2 years. These aren’t necessarily the best read ones, but they’re the ones that meant the most to me.
As You Head Out To Do The Impossible – I actually go back and read this one for myself a lot. Need that encouragement that I can do far more than I ever imagined.
Why My Running Has Everything To Do With Mother’s Day – This one reminds me of why I started running in the first place.
How Much Does it Really Cost to Run Disney – OK, this one was, by far, the most controversial (and has had almost the most views of a any other post). So it makes the list. Because I’m really not all that controversial so it makes me smile;).
The Chicago Marathon 2012 – this was my absolute favorite race and I will always remember it, in part because I wrote about it here. It’s a little long and I was maybe too wordy, but I can read it and remember every minute of that glorious day.
OK, enough of that sappiness;). Time to get on with how you can win! It’s really very simple – you can enter two ways. Comment below to be automatically entered and/or go like the FB page here FACEBOOK PAGE. If you do both, your name will go in the hat twice!! If you comment and don’t include a way for me to contact you, be watching the blog for the big announcement a week from today when the winner will be selected.
Thanks again, Amazing People. There will hopefully be big changes coming to the blog soon, so stay with us and we will keep you posted. Here’s to next year!! And until then, as always,
HAPPY RUNNING!!
Jen
