Stitch Fix #2 Review!

I got my second Stitch Fix today!! I loved everything I got the first time around, and couldn’t wait for this shipment to get here. I set up for an every other month delivery and I think that’s about right for me. I’m not exactly a clothes horse and prefer to have a few pieces that are well made and that I can wear often.

Worst. Action Shot. Ever. But this is how I felt about my new dress;)

So if you’re not familiar with the concept, here’s how it works:

  1. You go to their website (and I’d love it if you’d use this link because if you do that I get a credit for referring you!) and answer a bunch of questions about yourself and your style (I liked that they showed me a bunch of style boards and asked me which ones I liked, loved and hated. Very helpful when your fashionably challenged and have not idea WHAT style you are!)
  2. The assign you to a stylist who picks out amazing clothes for you!
  3. The clothes arrive and you try them on and if you keep them all you get a 25% discount on the total order. Keep all, a few, or none. If you send all of them back, you do have to pay the $20 styling fee. So essentially, $20 is what you’re “risking”.
  4. Wear your clothes and get lots of compliments.

My only beef this time was my stylist was NOT Amanda! I guess I have to request her every time or something. Definitely want to go back to her although this stylist did a pretty good job!!

Here’s what I got:

a pair of jeans (that fit amazingly!), a gorgeous black cardigan, a pink and cream shell, a cream and blue patterned top, and a great casual dress.

All the pieces will work now and can be layered when it gets cooler. So here’s your fashion show. (you should know I am not a model and we are not fashion photographers over here although when you see the pics you will figure this out on your own;).

This dress($74)  is CRAZY comfortable! When it’s cooler I will wear it with tights and boots and my denim jacket. Love.
Jeans ($78), blouse ($58) with cardigan ($78). The cardigan fabric is amazing!
I might not pick this out for myself but I have to admit I love it.  Blouse ($58)

I was worried that I wouldn’t have as much success the second time around, but folks, they sent me JEANS. JEANS!! And they fit me perfectly. It’s like they’re magical fashion fairy people! They also send these fun style cards so you know how to wear everything they send you (definitely a plus for me!)

So all five pieces (before the 20% keep all five discount) were $346. Honestly considering I love them all and will get lots of wear out of them, I feel like it’s a good value and the clothes I’ve received so far have all been great quality! I will say watch your washing instructions – a couple have been hand wash only so I put them on my delicate cycle in my washing machine and hang to dry.

Very happy with my new pieces and can’t wait to show them off!!

Jen
