We are Star Wars people. The people who live in this home know all the films (almost by heart!) and have a deep love for all things Jedi. And yes, at our house the preview for the new film has been watched over. And over. And then let’s watch it one more time! I can’t believe we have a whole year to wait!
Walter was not exactly a fan of this costume but we all loved it (for the 3 minutes he had it on;) |
Don’t worry, at least it was Halloween when I dressed this way. But I was really into it . . . |
So when my friend, Brandy, over at M3 Quilts and Design, heard I was running the Star Wars Half Marathon at Disneyland, she found this amazing fabric and had to get to work!! She made these adorable boxy bags that would work great for travel or to hold stuff in a backpack! She’s honestly one of the most generous people I ever know, and even though she’s a single, working mom she always finds ways to bless others. Love her!
Adorable contrasting fabric on the inside. |
Now one of them is for me, and one is for my son who is traveling with me for that weekend, but one of them is for me to giveaway to one of you! And bonus, it comes with a fun Star Wars Lego key chain. Awesome!
I think they it would make a great Christmas gift!! Good luck and if you’re interested in any custom bags or quilts, Brandi is your girl. You can reach her through her blog here. She makes beautiful quilts out of t-shirts and other pieces filled with memories. Here’s a great one she did recently:
I am VERY PUMPED for the Star Wars half. Or at least I will be once my training for the Disney World marathon is done. Because evidently I’m celebrating finishing one race by running the other on the other coast! I know I’ll be exhausted but it will be worth it, right;)?
May the force be with you! (yes, I just typed that;).

And also with you!
Hahahaha, omg, Kathryn, I am SO glad I am not the only one in this world who ALWAYS thinks that reply whenever she hears “May the force be with you.” It’s a church-girl thing I guess. 🙂 Jen, if I could have afforded to sign up for the race (and the airfare to CA) I would TOTALLY be there for the inaugural Star Wars Half. We are major Star Wars fans in my house too and I can’t think of a better Disney theme than this. I hope you enjoy your well-earned victory lap!!
LOL!!
It’s Joy. I would love a Frozen race held during early December so that I could get an Olaf medal and run when it’s not so hot.
That would be AWESOME!! Really crossing my fingers that we’ll have good weather!
I agree with Goodbye Zaftig, a Frozen race would be amazing!
How did I miss this before now! (This is Tracy) I agree with Joy, a Frozen race in December would be fun but honestly, this race tops it for me 🙂
Very Cute!
Is the R2 keychain included? 😉 looks great!
YES, Joe, IT IS!! Good luck!
