The Gentle Art of Swedish Death Cleaning is a book I read several years ago and just recently re-read and decided to finally put into practice. Rather than a quick organizing project, this is truly a way of living and thinking about our relationship to our things and our own mortality. I also recently watched the entire show on Peacock and the principles in the book are beautifully represented in the show. By changing my relationship with accumulating things and truly realizing that every day could be my last, this process has helped me re-shape how I view my things in a beautiful and I hope sustainable way.
