Gap Year Adventure #2 Starts Friday! Star Wars Half Marathon

Wow, you guys, can you believe I’ve already been on my Grown Up Gap Year for 6 weeks?! The time  has been flying, as I knew it would.

I leave FRIDAY for adventure #2 and boy oh boy, am I ready to go! My training has gone well and I’m feeling very well prepared but looking at the weather, we’re in for another warm and humid 13.1 miles. Not my favorite.

But you know what is my favorite?

Being at Disney and enjoying friends, food, drink and magic.

So I won’t complain. Well, maybe a little during the race;). I had my final 4 mile run today and it was gorgeous. Georgia really knows how to show off in the springtime

Speaking of running, can we chat about the Boston Marathon for a minute? In addition to the amazing stories about people like Des and Shalene, there were other amazing runners, too, like my friend Eddie and the AMAZING Amelia G of Entirely Amelia. I still can’t believe I have such cool friends. So much to celebrate and that weather was NOT going to go easy on you all. Congratulations to all the finishers!!

Oh, I know what I wanted to tell you! I started getting the paper again! I love having a little gift delivered to me every morning and I am reading so many great articles about so many things other than just the headlines that show up online. Here’s what I posted on FB:

I am seriously loving it!! I’m also super busy over on YouTube. My goal (for my super fun new hobby) was to have 100 subscribers before I left for my trip and I’m OVER THE MOON that, as of right this minute, I’m at 108! Super fun. Even my kids are impressed. Learning curve is still steep but I’m getting lots of help along the way and enjoying the creative outlet!

Here’s my most recent post all about packing for a (Run) Disney World Vacation!

It was a lot of work but I’m really happy with the way it turned out.

In other news this week, I have signed up for the Disneyland Paris Half Marathon in September! Honestly, not sure the trip will actually happen, but I have a bib, so it’s looking better all the time. Nothing planned other than where I’m staying for the race itself, and it’s feeling a little surreal! Sending in my passport for renewal this week and I’m BEYOND excited.

I have to say, and will most likely continue to say, how in the world did I ever have time to work??  Too bad there’s not more money in playing all the time;). But I truly am loving every minute and just wishing time would slow down just a smidge. Because it’s already going too fast and we just started.

I hope this week finds you well. I cried more than I thought I would at the news of the passing of the amazing Barbara Bush, so I’ll end with a quote of hers that I love that fits this time in my life well. Take care of each other, Friends. And let’s all try to live well and love well.
