Coronavirus Day One – A Daily Journal During This Unfortunate Time

I’m dusting off the blog for this very, um, uncertain and maddening time. I will be blogging daily until the schools are back, Disney has re-opened, and my Costco has toilet paper. Not sure which thing needs to come first.

Today I learned that it doesn’t take me all that long to clean my kitchen when I’m talking to my mom and trying to convince her not to go to Cracker Barrel with her friends. I see a lot of face time with her in the near future. I love her and I’m sad she’s alone but I also want her safe.

Also, the karaoke version of When Will My Life Begin is far more challenging than I anticipated. Mandy Moore is my hero. And also, Repunzel is the official Disney princess of social isolation and we can learn a lot from her. Baking, reading, sewing, painting, yoga . . all on her daily social isolation schedule. Good activities for sure.

I already drank all the wine. Not sure how that will turn out. Clearly need to go out and get more of that. I’ll send Scott when he gets home.

Speaking of Scott, yes he is still flying and yes, he comes home with lots of germs. Not sure how all that is supposed to work out. And nobody is testing him for Covid-19. Hoping for the best there.

See you tomorrow. Same time, same place, same blog. Hang in there.

Jen
