Oh, Dear Friends, where has the time gone?
It seems like just yesterday I was running Wine and Dine (and growing gills;), and here we are just a month out from the Disney World Marathon!
I feel pretty good about my training and I’ve been so busy, that I’ve neglected one major component of any Run Disney event:
WHAT THE HECK AM I GOING TO WEAR??
Now, keep in mind, I’m not exactly a costume runner, so my attempts pale in comparison to many of my Crazy Running Friends. I can’t stand anything that scratches or flops around or causes distress or drama, so whatever I wear, has to be VERY practical to run in. Already in my closet are the following options:
Snow White
Minnie Mouse
Pink and Leopard Tough Girl Tutu
Part of me sort of wanted to go back to the beginning and wear Minnie Mouse again (since that’s the costume that started it all!) but then, today, something happened that may change all that.
A COUPON CODE!! I got an email from my friend, Christina over at Tough Girl Tutus and she said, hey, Jen, do you think your readers would like $5 off a tutu for Christmas!
Uh, HECK YEAH! So all you have to do is go to their website here and enter the code HOLIDAY5 to get $5 of your tutu. Oh, and tell her I sent you! Actually I don’t think you have to do that, but if you want to put it in the comments of your order she’ll feel some love;).
So are you running Disney soon? Whatcha wearing?? I’m looking for inspiration, People! Non-scratchy, non-hassle, non uncomfortable inspiration;). Gimme your best!!
Happy running!
Jen
I’m thinking about doing Winnie the Pooh for the Disney Half marathon. I have a gold sparkle skirt, a red tank and a gold visor. For the full I’m really not sure! I wanted to dress as Goofy…I have a blue sparkle skirt and an orange tank and a green visor…I’m struggling with whether to wear a black vest or not. I’m worried it will drive me insane and no one wants that on a marathon right? Is it still Goofy if I’m not wearing the vest?
Absolutely. I always think of my race outfits as more “in the spirit of” whatever character as opposed to exact interpretations. So, in other words, “goofyish”.;)
