I don’t think it’s a big secret that organization is kind of my jam. I’ve written about it so often that some of you are rolling your eyes thinking SERIOUSLY, Again?? She’s going to talk about organizing, again?!?!

But then there are the REST of you. You know who you are. You dig this stuff and can’t get enough of it and it is for you, You Crazy Bin and Label Loving Nut Jobs, that I dedicate this post. You are my tribe and I love you. The rest of you can be my tribe, too, just not about being crazy for organizing;).

The closet in the guest room hasn’t really been addressed since we moved in 2 years ago. I threw some stuff in there that didn’t really fit anywhere else and Scott refused to get rid of (he’s my hoarder and it drives me bonkers but I love him). I mean, the man went hunting ONCE, didn’t like it, and yet I have this weird camo suit jacket that he refuses to get rid of. Whatever.

But it wasn’t just his stuff – I had thrown extra blankets and things in there that didn’t really belong. There were pictures, my wedding dress, shirts that Scott won’t let me throw away . . whoops, sorry, brought him into it again. Love you, Honey.

We have a lot of guests coming in the next few months and we love that! But it made me want to get this particular room better organized. And re-doing a closet is always a great home improvement project, especially since what was in there was pretty useless and gross.

Can I just tell you that filming a home improvement project is very motivating! I had much more fun doing this with an audience. I think that might be something weird about my personality. In fact, I’m sure it is. So let’s just keep our opinions on that to ourselves, shall we??

I also added a few touches to this room like the oh so current pinterest framed WiFi password. oooohhhh . . . ahhhhh . . .

Later today I’m headed to the grocery store to pick up some bottled water and treats for our guest and then we are good to go! Honestly, I had grand ideas about cleaning the carpets and doing an over-all deep clean before she got here but you know what? Amanda loves me. She won’t care.

Oh, and I’m happy to report  that Scott and I did some of this project together and only got in 4 major fights! OK, maybe not major fights, but we just don’t work well together. I’m very grateful we’re not farmers. I’m fairly sure everything would die and one of us would be living in the barn.
