I am completely exhausted today and for good reason – I didn’t lock the back door last night when we went to bed and the wind blew the door open and set the alarm off. For a moment I debated if I should wait and let the cops come in case someone actually HAD broken in, but since both dogs (all 300 combined pounds of them) stayed blissfully asleep I assumed there was no intruder. But it took me awhile to fall back asleep.

I ALSO over did on Mondays run so today’s Wednesday speedwork is NOT going to happen. My legs are pretty tired. I will do a slow run instead just to get some miles in and burn some calories.
Let’s see, what else? Um, I’m having major body insecurities that are illogical. My husband had a birthday yesterday (Happy Birthday, Honey!!) and my mom is coming to visit on Friday (HURRAY!). Oh, and through a series of events that I won’t go into, my eldest actually finished high school this week, 3 months early. Yeah, we were surprised, too, but it’s all working out. Just have to figure out how he’s going to spend his time from now until he starts college! A job would be good, yes?? In unrelated news, parenting is relentless.
I’ve no idea why and there’s no real reason, but I’m pretty blue about running and the blog today. Or exercising. Or actually moving. Don’t worry, it’s just a mood – they happen to all of us – BUT to cheer myself up before I start my work day, I made this little video with my running memories from the past four years. There are some blurry pictures and it may not be interesting to anyone other than me, but it’s always good to remember and it really DID cheer me up. Wow, I’ve logged a lot of fun miles with a lot of amazing people. Feeling very grateful for each and every step! Enjoy!!
Oh, and HAPPY RUNNING!!
Jen
Sorry to hear you had a blue morning. When is your next race? I am running Rock n Roll this weekend, not sure how my body will handle two half marathons back to back. Working on my NYC 1/2 Recap now, should be up by tomorrow morning.
I can’t wait to read all about it Stephanie!! It looks like it was such an amazing day! I’m doing a 10K in 2 weeks (the GE Irving Marathon one) but no halves until Wine and Dine in November. And I am OK WITH THAT! I feel like I’ve been in training since Jesus was a baby!
I haven’t run since Saturday as I have a bad head cold/sinus thingy. This video cheered me up, so thank you! Love the song. Oh and my 2 year old (who watched it with me) said “that was a good show!” 🙂
LOL! I’m so glad the video was a hit with your baby! Love it! So sorry you’re not feeling better. No bueno!
